Hi guys,

So I've read online that I can use diluted bleach to clean the cage but it also says I have to let it dry in the sun.

If I scrub it with a mild dish soap then wipe it down with a bleach solution and rinsed it well and let it dry overnight, would that be sufficient or does it have to be placed in the sun after using bleach??

You don't have to let it dry in the sun, it will work without that. Maybe that is suggested so the cage will dry faster.

I think using F10 disinfectant is much easier than using bleach. You don't have to rinse it and it doesn't have the harsh fumes.

I agree with Deanna F-10 is heck of a lot easier.

I strongly second @Tiel Feathers recommendation of F10. You can buy it at a lot of places in the UK - Meadows Animal Healthcare is one place in the UK.

F10 is easier and safer than Clorox and it is just as effective.

I use Dawn and vinegar then wipe it down with F-10 ...seems to work the best :)
