Wow, that's a nice one! So many beautiful birds...amazing! What predators do birds have in Australia? Is it a very colorful country...lots of flowers? I ask because so many birds are so bright. I do notice also, the 'ground' types are more green/mottled colors, it's the tree dwellers that are bright.{?}

Predators - Dingos; Feral Cats; Birds Of Prey; Goannas; Snakes. That's pretty much it.

Lots of flowering trees and shrubs = lots of colour at various times of the year.

I thought all Cockatoos were from Australia..I guess not?

No, many of the cockatoo species are endemic to the SW Pacific Islands, the Indonesian islands and up to the Philippines. I think we've pretty much listed all the Australian ones now, except for a few sub-species.

Oh it's true alright - dont •••• off a goanna/lace monitor! They're even pretty dangerous when kept in captivity You dont want to go anywhere near them after handling food (meat) or they might attack.
