I found a Northern Mockingbird about two weeks ago and it couldn’t fly so I took it in fed it and a week ago when I wanted to set him free he injured himself , he fell and so I don’t know what to do like the top part right before his leg bone is swollen and I don’t know how to or what to do to help it

Hello Angel, Is there a vet near you? or a wildlife rehab centre?

There isn’t an avian vet near me :( nor a wildlife center that helps birds that’s why I’m relying on this website .

If there are no vets/rescues available (and this little one really needs one) I can only share what helped my bird who had major leg injuries. Make sure the bedding is soft. No wire bottom cage. Use a small folded up blanket if possible. It provides good grip and is easy to throw in the washer every other day.
Keep food and water in an easy to access location near the bird, on the bottom of the cage most likely.
Don’t force movement and keep the bird as calm as you can. Keep the environment clean and a nice temperature for the little ones comfort. Without a qualified vet I’m not comfortable saying any meds to give, but I do hope your little bird pulls through.

That looks like a bad infection and / or broken bone..If you cant get him to a rehab or vet, all you can do is keep him warm and comfy..I'm sorry I'm not more help..

Thank you, I looked into getting the bird a vet and I will be leaving him at an avian hospital tomorrow where they will help and rehabilitate it :) .
