On July 3rd of last year, my Delilah came into my life. I can’t believe it’s been that long! I can’t imagine life without her though, she is my ESA and helps me live a functonal life with my anxiety. She has changed my life so much, and all for the better (except maybe for her demanding stubbornness, lol!)
Her intelligence and awareness always surprises me. She loves to “count” using kiss sounds (she kisses once, I kiss twice, and so on). She can get to four before losing track. She also uses sounds in context, which is a hoot. She laughs if she finds something funny (like when she went and nipped a guest’s face... luckily they had birds and were used to it! I was not as pleased) and she whistles for the dogs when she notices my stepdad preparing to take them out.
I just thought I’d share as you guys would understand. Delilah is my first parrot and it’s been such a wonderful journey and learning experience. Hopefully I have many more years of being one of the blessed few that can call themselves parronts
