I finally have internet access with my computer, and have taken the time to take a few photos of my three year old Bronze-Winged Pionus, "Bebe". I wanted a parrot for the longest time and did a ton of research before deciding a pionus might be the best idea for a first time owner. I fell in love with the Duskies, and even was talking to a breeder before I mysteriously never heard any more. Shortly after, a craiglist ad emerged for a Bronze-Winged Pionus, being my second choice, I decided it was too coincidental to pass up. Actually, my boyfriend (the ANTI-bird person) found it . Her previous owners told me she was a year old in August of that year, and that she was DNAed male, and they had her for 6 months when the prior months were spent in a small cage in a pet store. I always thought she was a he until recently (two years later) she surprised me with two eggs! She is an absolute love; flies to me everywhere, gets along with the dog (tolerates my boyfriend, on especially GOOD moods may allow a scritching!), and the only noises she makes are inquisitive peeps. I could not ask for a better bird and am so glad I ended up with her!
I apologize for some of the outdoor pics having bars or bar shadows, I tried really hard to eliminate them but apart from opening the cage door its difficult! Just wanted to try and show off their colors a bit. Hope you like!!
