Here's a baby Finch I'm handling. I was inspired by @Atomiklan .

What color is he? Is this called a dilute? I would like a few females that may carry this type of color but so few breeders anywhere in new England. I have 2 year old males that were given toe so would love older females.

This is a silver. He'll look just like the dad (other photo).
The mom is a green-back, black head, purple breast and they always have at least 1 silver in their clutch. It's a nice little pair.

He's not really tame. He loves to come out and fly around, and he pays more attention when I talk to them than the others. He isn't afraid of me but he doesnt come to me either.

Aren't they neat? Different finches have different papillae and also the spots inside their mouths vary. So if you found a nekkid baby you could actually tell what it was! More info: Mouth Markings of Estrildid Finches
