Babies nipping

My 10 (?) week old parrotlet babies are in a very nippy stage, and I'm looking for any advice on how to train them out of that. I mainly either distract them or move them away. Or I try to ignore it, but I don't like doing that as it won't help so much in the long run as their bites get harder. :)

Have you tried giving them something to chew on? When they begin chewing your fingers, give them the toy to chew. Keep a bunch around. Eventually, they should just start chewing their toys. They are exploring their surroundings and figuring out how hard they can bite or what they are feeling is stable.

Sounds like so much fun!

I really need to get more toys! But yes, I think that will be my main approach. It's so odd, I know what to do, its just when I'm actually working with my own birds, I forget! :arghh: Because I raised these two, I still think of them as little babies, but they are all grown up :)
