Avitech Products vs. Morning Bird, Inc. Products
by Morning Bird, Inc. June 26, 2019
Avitech Exotic Birds ceased operations in the summer of 2018. Morning Bird has made an effort to resume where Avitech has left off. The following chart compares the availability of Morning Bird products as replacements for the Avitech bird care line. Where we list our product name adjacent to Avitech’s product name, that means we are currently producing the Avitech replacement product today or will be very shortly. Where it is indicated “in development”, that means we are currently developing a product to replace the corresponding Avitech product. All Morning Bird replacement products have identical, or very similar, ingredient lists to the corresponding Avitech product.

Please remember that Morning Bird, Inc. manufactures many additional products that Avitech did not manufacture.

I sure hope they get the electrolyte formula develop. I'm having to make my own since Avitech closed down and I'm not all that confident of it.

I've used the Avitec product Enhance "Natural Nutritional Powder for Birds with 3 fruits, 9 veggies, 3 berries, and 3 sprouts" for my parakeets, every day for years. I am just now running out of the product and couldn't find it any longer. Now I know why. I'm trying to find a replacement and have emailed Morning Bird to ask if they might make a similar product.

I've attached photos of the Enhance label so you can see the ingredients and I'm hoping someone can recommend something else I could use.

Many thanks for any suggestions! Hope you are staying safe!

Theresa

An option may be to look at something like the Sneaky Sprinkles that @Nikomania makes!

Did the avitech blend have sugar content etc listed? I'm seeing a lot of fruit, and coconut flour (I'm not sure what the purpose of that is in the mix), and honey on top of all the fruit.

I'd say go with the sneaky sprinkles mentioned above. Veggies are definitely more important.

The sprouts you can grow your own pretty easy. We have a thread dedicated to it here on the forum. I've been sprouting for years for my littles and they love it.
