any way to remove paint from rocks?

I have this hideous mix of rocks in my aquarium (inactive) and I wanted to paint every single rock black, but that's way too time-consuming. So I decided to get rid of the paint, after all, it is harder to create than it is to destroy:lol:. I've tried putting it in an acidic solution, which got the paint loose enough to remove using a brush, but that is too hard to do for every rock. I tried mixing it in hot water with pretty good results, but most of the paint is still on...
Do you guys know of any methods?
Thanks in advance!:fairy3:

Thanks for the suggestion, but don't you have anything a bit more apartment friendly?

Paint/furniture stripper will take it off. Noxious fumes. Big mess. Could leave residue on the rocks.

Rocks are cheap. Free if you know where to look (on the ground). I'd just replace them.

Sandblasting would work too.

Yeah, I'd just find some gravel outside and rinse it off really well.
