Any additional ideas?

Hello,
I have not yet adopted a bird and won't for a while but I want to make sure that when I do I'm bringing them into a safe home. I'm planning on adopting an 8 year old budgie.
So far I know about drafts, PTFE, fans, other pets ( I have a small dog), windows, mirrors, certain metals and plants. I plan on buying a new set of ceramic pans. Is there anything else that I should be keeping an eye out for when I bring a bird into my home?

Scented products, open toilets, self cleaning oven feature, aerosols, some cleaning supplies, etc can all be harmful to birds as well

Oh yeah! I forgot about those! Using the oven is safe though as long as you keep them away from the heat right?

The oven is fine to use, yes. But never the self cleaning feature

And also other birds and pet shops with birds unless you are 100 percent sure they are safe. You never know what diseases you can accidentally transport from such places to your bird. I avoid pet shops with birds, bird exhibitions an such.
