It's been 3 mos. since Geordie's last recheck for urinary stones so back to the internal medicine specialist we went today to get another ultrasound. In addition they did blood work and took a urine sample for a urinalysis. Thankfully Geordie had no urinary or bladder stones again. In addition his blood work was fine. The results of the urinalysis are pending. He slept most of the way home which is understandable because it's a long day. 45 mins. to vet, spent about 1.5 hours at vet and then 45 mins for the drive home.
Have to return in 3 mos. for another recheck.
I gave Geordie a special treat, a small dog biscuit, before he started napping. He normally just get carrots or unsalted saltines because he is on a restricted diet so I sort of cheated but this is a rare occurrence. I also treated myself by stopping off at Del Taco and getting two Beyond Meat tacos. A friend told me that two Del Tacos are testing Beyond Meat which is a plant based meat substitute and one of those test locations is close to the vet specialist's office. The tacos were delicious and I hope that more Del Tacos (especially the ones near where I live) start offering Beyond Meat items. Can also substitute meat or chicken in any item with Beyond Meat for an extra charge.
