Alexandrine - Male or Female?

You have to wait for him/her to get his/her adult plumage. Then you can tell by the ring.

You'll have to wait a year or two, maybe more depending, for the ring to grow in if they're male. Any vet that's competent with birds should be able to take a test for you at a reasonable price.
The 5'o clock shadow isn't a good indicator, when it first starts growing in you should usually see a black tipped feather or two around the beak.
