Hello all!

It has been to long since I’ve posted something. I’m sorry.
I have a problem and this is the right place to ask I feel.

I bought a pak o bird second hand. And before you ask, yes I soaked it in vinegar, steamed it and sprayed it with f10. So I’m being safe.
But the seller didn’t tell me about the damages inside the bag. And here is my question, do any of you have a good idea to fix it?

I also contacted Celltei for some advice. Important to note is that I have lovebirds. So definitely not the most destructive birds. But also not to be overlooked what they can do and potentially harm themselves.

Please let me know if any of you have some good ideas on what to do!

I am not too sure your little ones will damage it much more or very fast.
If you are worried about possible ingestion or toe catching then maybe look at fixing a sheet of tough plastic or chewable wood over the damaged part.
Burt has done this same kind of damage to his pak o bird carrier too.
If you know someone with an industrial strength sewing machine you may be able to buy some seatbelt material and have it stitched over the top of the damaged part.

I need to double check mine. Secret has done some chewing on it and I'll have to see if I can rig a toy over it!

I was going to say could you maybe zip tie a toy through fabric so it hides that whole panel

try a tent patch repair kit, also called canvas repair or sometimes gear repair.
you might also be able to get away with a lighter denim patch repair kit since you have lovebirds
these mostly are self-adhesive but some iron-on. you can cut to fit around the grommet. The lighter fabrics may be easier to cut like you need.
and if you want to protect the edges or maybe just good enough alone - get some "fray check/block" from a fabric store or online.
....and just check to make sure they aren't chewing on it of course!

O, yes. When it comes to toys it’s impossible to contain myself. More is more, right?
Definitely more is never enough haha hubby says I am addicted to bird toys  they always come when I am at work too so he’s like another parcel Emma :sneaky:
