Hi everyone..just wanted to tell you that a friend offered me a huge cage for free. They had it in their garage, it used to hold a conure that passed away a few years ago. I realize that the bar spacing is a bit large for a budgie but this cage will be used only when we are home with her. Her old cage and budgie proof room will house her when we go out and when she sleeps. I was leary about how she would accept a new cage but I was hoping her natural curiosity would prevail. Well she was not too impressed at first but I let her take her time. On the second day I put my phone with you tube budgies playing on it and voila....she's been checking it out ever since. Found her food, water and favorite toys pretty quick....
