I am so happy... I just cannot believe what just happened!
It is dark, and I was putting Sheba,Holly, and Cochise back in their cages after being out for hours on their playstands. The bird room is dark, except for the light streaming in from the kitchen. So I linger at Cochise's cage, as he is on the 'porch', but has not gone in yet. And then it happened. He let me touch him!! Not a little, mind you..but a LOT! I rubbed him all over, giving him scritches and keeping my face right up against him talking to him the whole time. He was loving it and just melted away.
I am shocked and thrilled. This is BIG..really really big!

Maybe it was because it was dark, it wasn't so scary? There was one little small protest sound at first, but I kept going and he quickly realized he liked it. Oh my goodness. We can only go up from here!!!

Congratulations. that is so fantastic. I would be excited too

We are having one right now! He is on my shoulder, it's again..dark. I let him listen to some of the sound files in your HH article, and he started lifting his crest and doing the side to side wing flit thing he does. He is so special!!
