Daddy brought me home a new toy the other day and it 'bout drove me mad! I still don't know what got into me. This evil, wicked, mean, bad and nasty yellow tennis shoe drives me crazy. I even bit him! (I'm really sorry 'bout that, daddy, and I'll try not to do it again. Honest. )



OK, I know it's my job, to the best of my abilities, to try and destroy anything that's been put in my cage. And let me tell you, I try!







Unfortunately, this thing just refuses to show any signs of damage. So I threw it over the side.



I thought that maybe if I attempted to attack it upside down on one foot I might get the advantage.







It got me instead! Oh my gosh!
(Boy, it sure is scary down here on the floor... )

Farlie finely got it!!! I walked into the room and noticed a yellow patch of material laying on the bottom of the cage. It had me puzzled. I had to open the cage to get it out and look it over. "What's this", I said. Then it hit me, it's that evil, wicked, mean, bad and nasty yellow sneaker. He got it! Tore it to pieces! Now it's hanging by one side and he's working on that too.

Is it known whether birds can see colors, some colors, or none? Just wondering if the yellow color might be what irritates this bird about the shoe or its' shape, or maybe just the dangling strings. Who knows what goes on in their cute birdie heads.

Birds see more colors than we do. They can see into the ultraviolet.

Farlie has a killing instinct for the color yellow. Everything in his cage that is yellow is mostly destroyed. I bought that yellow tennis shoe on purpose. When I buy toys for him I make sure they have yellow in them.
I wonder if he would get along with another sun conure? or try destroy it...?

You'll notice those laces hold 7 plastic beads each. Farlie learned how to crack them in two and spit them out on the floor. Talk about destruction! I'd sure hate to have him mad at me.
Only parts I have left are that 'sole' and one yellow side. I've reattached those two things together on a pear hook but the violent hatred isn't quite the same... anybody know where I can get one yellow sneaker???
