oh my gosh, kill me, it took me so many times to get these pix in, lol. This is Marley he was born in june of 2017. I obtained him from Rita of Rainbow Parrots Aviary. He is a good boy :) He loves to dangle and twirl around my fingers :)

What a doll! I could see how uploading pics with just one hand might be difficult. ;)

Congratulations to you and welcome Marley. :pinklol3:

thank you everyone. yes he is full of beans!!!! i was trying to imbed links to the net where i have the pictures stored, so that i wouldnt waste space on avianavenue's server. but it only showed the link, not the pictures.
Marley has NEVERRRRR had a wing trim, he's been flying since we got him in August 2017. he's a handful cuz it's hard to train a bumble bee! HA. I love the rich colors of the regular green cheeks, but he is beautiful in his own way with his turquoise wings :) <3
...I have two little Budgies also, love them like CRAZYYYYY. They are 7 years old now .

Beautiful bird! Did you have a good experience with Rita? I'm asking because I am getting my baby GCC from her in a few weeks!

Rita is great. I picked him up so i met her and her husband. Before you bring yours home she offers a wing cut, a mild wing cut and no cut. I mistakenly left him uncut. Since he was nervous the first week of course it was easy to get him to step up Etc but since then he is his own man and he has had so many mishaps flying into things.and God forbid we try and get him in his cage. When it's dark he goes in his cage himself! I still havent trimmed him , only cuz i know I'll feel bad about it, but i should at least once, for training. Our first green-cheek was trimmed when we brought him home and his whole life was different because of a few months of being trimmed. He was so well tamed and trained by the time his wings grew in. So I would recommend taking the wing trim before you bring your bird home that is just my humble opinion

He is a gorgeous bird, but there really is no reason to trim his wings. Train right, using positive reinforcement training methods, and teaching him to *choose* to be with you (rather than being forced, because he can't fly away), is my recommendation.
