Poor Zeke and poor you two! I hope you guys find a way to give him his meds that works for all of you and he feels better soon!
I'll have to get some mango juice. As I was getting the meds in syringes, Craig got back home from his martial arts lesson. Then Zeke wanted nothing to with me, and Craig can't concentrate on a task longer than two minutes, so there's still no medicine in him.
Also had Craig try the hold his head on lap thing, but it seems that Craig is incapable of holding Zeke how he needs to be held to accomplish this....
If Zeke would let me get near him without trying to take my fingers off....

I do it because Craig can't as he's pretty useless (Can you tell that I'm annoyed). However, as soon as he hears Craig or any of the other birds, he gets excited and wants nothing at all to do with me.
What finally worked was to mix the meds and juice and give it to him on a spoon. He did 2/3 of the medicine in two minutes after I tried that. It has to be very diluted as he won't drink it if he can taste the meds.
We'll have to see how it goes tonight.

I feel for you Matt, I hate to have to medicate ... but Roxie is pretty good about it after I towel her, she knows that she has no choice so she will take it like a big girl... most of the time

I understand your frustration Matt. Mango would be a nightmare to have to medicate and Carlos probably would too. I wonder if you brought Zeke into another room, out of his normal element and did the meds in there..and tell Craig to shut his yapper so Zeke doesnt hear him.

I agree with Pat. I would take him into the bathroom and shut the door. It is relatively small and will keep his attention on just you. I hope it goes better!
