Yellow Stripe On Lower Beak

I have a 16yo SI. I recently noticed a yellow stripe down the center of his lower beak. I do not know how long he has had it, but know it wasn't always there. Has anyone ever seen a yellow stripe on the lower beak? It doesn’t bother him in anyway. I will be making a vet appt and doing a blood panel.

I imagine that it's a unique thing to him as it's the same color as the top. Doing a Google image search I did see this bird with a spot on their bottom beak:

I do see you say it wasn't always there. Do you think it happened recently?

I do hope that is all that it is. The lower beak has a smooth surface, but is not smooth in shape

I am not exactly sure when it appeared. When I took him for his clipping, that was when it was noticed. It is not a readily visible area.
