So annoying, I have multiple that are difficult sith their veggies. At least he eats some, beans are healthy, made frozen veggies you let thaw? My hahns Nemo lovds that he doesn't eat it but liks it and eats little bits. Does he eat sprouted seeds? Sometimes it helps to put a plate or bowl on your lap, and pretend to eat or yourself(or actually eat a bit), or offer little bits from your hand. Maye you have already tried. I don't get frustrated easily with my birds, but when they won't eat anything that is right for them, I get annoyed :shifty:
Yes!! I'm the same! I'm like shut up you little stinker I need you to live forever and ever, which won't happen if you're eating crappy food all the time!!

I have not tried that yet! Honestly I'm always so nervous doing so on my own and just haven't had a chance to do research on how to do it. Can it be just any seeds? Pour some water on top?
I do mostly lentils, peas, and mung beans and stuff like that. I also have normal seed mix I sprout but I don't always have succes with that, and a special sprouting mix which sorks great. Just let soak overnight, then I put it in a strainer and rinse every few hours. If it smells bad, it is bad but if it smells good it is okay:D

Right!! My lovebird died of aethelerosis:( If he had eaten a better diet the first years things might have been different. Perhaps not, but I hate the thought. For a couple years he would only eat seeds, only pellets from time to time

Sprouts can be sooo easy. I use the well named Easy Sprouter.

Literally put seeds in, fill with water, let sit 8-12 hours, drain, rinse, swing it around in the sink to get as much excess water out, then rinse and drain morning and evening for 1-4 days. They have a little video on that site :)

My birds don't care for sprouts when they have long tails, so I start serving usually within 24-48 hours.

Just purchased. What seeds should I start out with?

That same site has my favorite mixes; they have a couple of bird mixes that I use, as well as an Amber Waves of Grain mix that goes over well here.

Higgins also has a small mix available if you just want to try out sprouting :)

The TOPS seed mix is okay too but not my favorite.

China Prairie has some mixes that are okay, but they aren't my first choice

Any clean seed mix or mixes meant for sprouting will be fine though! Mung beans and adzuki beans are also good; do not sprout kidney beans though!

Mung beans are the first thing I successfully sprouted, so that's my recommendation lol
