I would like to nominate @tka . @tka is a great parront to the beautiful Leia and has also shared such wonderful pictures of her! @tka not only provides for her wonderfully, but is also constantly learning how to be an even better parront with things like diet and toys, and shares this experience with other members of the Avenue. This knowledge, which always appears to be well-researched, has no doubt benefited many birds through improving their health, housing, enrichment, and more. Finally, @tka is also a teacher, both by trade and by nature. @tka is especially skilled with providing guidance to new and/or anxious parronts, not only answering their questions with patience but also mentoring them on how they can do their own research in the future. @tka , getting to know you better has been a definite silver lining in these incredibly difficult times, and we are all better for having you as an Avenue neighbor!​

Wow, thank you so much @enigma731!

AA has made such a huge difference to my own care of Leia. From the toys from the vendors here to learning how to make my own toys, learning how to improve her diet, training advice and just knowing that there's a community of people who care about their birds as much as I care about Leia. It's especially nice to watch people new to birds learn and grow in confidence and knowledge. I'm glad to be a part of that.

Leia has chosen to mark this occasion by attempting to get into a binbag. There's some orange peel in there and she reeeeaaally wants it. I'm expecting a crash and a squawk any moment now....
