Roelant, the researcher from the University of Leiden behind the World Parrot Count, is in S. Florida this week to see and photo our wild parrots. Aside from the blue and golds who showed up magnificently, he hasn't had the greatest success finding our amazons and chestnut fronts. Any roadies in Broward or Dade Counties, please post suggestions for locations. By the way, I'll report on his lecture at the International Parrot Symposium this Saturday. 69,000 urban wild parrots were reported all over the globe.
