How do that the wood and rope is untreated?

The hemp rope at walmart is not treated, it says "all natural" on it.

And not all the wood at homedepot is treated. It is a requirment to post on the wood if its been treated or untreated. I buy untreated pine and cedar wood Also treated rope and wood products have a "off smell". Like treated leather does smell like plain leather. Not only is the smell of but the look is off too.
