I sent hubby to the market- and indefinitely- he came back with 'modified' ingredients. This not a c19 thing... this is just commonplace as my beloved hubby doesnt shop well.
So with an abundance of certain things- I tried to make it a positive.
Baked, and tested- it is done..... but it didnt stay around long.....

He stole it! my huby stole my bird bread!
Hubby loves it... 'It is so moist and tasty!!!.... Are you telling me I have been stealing the bird food!?!?!'
The answer is yes.
So it was agreed that I could post this photo for levity, LOL

Recipe:
3/4 cup apple mash (basically applesauce with less moisture- I make it at home)
1 cup gluten free all purpose rice flour (this is not normally something i use.... so I was curious as hubby picked it up instead of regular flour)
1/8 cup regular flour
1/8 cup sugar
1/8 cup guava juice
1.5 tablespoons pumpkin oil
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 heaping tablespoon sunflower seeds
1 heaping tablespoon oats
1 heaping tablespoon chopped fried fruit
dash salt
dash allspice
dash cinnamon
dash ginger

I baked it in bread pan @350 for 45 minutes.
I let it cool......
Then it was manhandled.... consumed. Violated!
(Dimitri loves it as well... because it is like banana bread, but apple flavor- and super moist!)

I haven't made birdy bread yet but... I love the Caitec cookies. I actually feel good about feeding them to Buddy because of the lack of wheat in them. He does get some now & qgain but I'm gluten free so he alnost is.

Your recipe sounds great! Thanks for sharing. Maybe you should just take pictures of what you want him to get instead of a list?

I eat quinoa now because I cooked it for the birds. I stir in veggies for them - usually grated carrots and finely chopped kale and broccoli. I add a little butter, salt and pepper for me, and like the birds, I prefer it with the veggies. As for hubby, he won’t touch it. He doesn’t much like veggies and he barely eats rice unless it is fried.
