What's with the name

My greater Vasa is named Petoskey. •And this is how it came about.

We vacationed in Michigan when young as my mom was a Yooper. •We hunted for the stones and were delighted with those we found. •Now that I am older I have a new delight.

They speak of Vasa's being like dinosaurs because eggs hatch at 17 to 18 days vs 28 days for other parrots. •What a fitting name for my loving dinosaur parrot •
