Rudy was awol and I didn’t think to look at the curtains. He bent one of the metal rings that the hook goes through. It’s not tin. It’s magnetic. Some kinds of alloys are magnetic.

I would guess it is made from an alloy of nickel or iron. I don't know how to determine what other metals might be present.

No but he wiped his beak on the rope perch for quite a while. Then he had dinner and is asleep now so I can’t observe him. Thanks for the prompt reply.

Do the curtains have a tag with the manufacturer's name and product number?
