I heard of an Amazon (Double yellow head) that was 125yrs old............must find that info but there is also a Macaw that is pretty old too.

I think Amazons hold that record the most in owned pets. Not sure about wild parrots.

I think the Amazons remarkable ability to adapt might just give them the edge.

There is a documented amazon that lived to 109. My vet had one that was left with her that she felt was over 100 when it finally passed and she did the autopsy.

I've heard of some very old macaws and cockatoos as well. There is that Major Mitchells that just celebrated his 79th birthday. Isn't there someone here with a 60 year old mac?

I watched a documentary on Kakapos that said they could be expected to reach 90, and up to 120+... but there are few left and the population is not very genetically diverse.
