I’m getting a cockatiel in 3 weeks and am looking into a air purifier . Do I need a big one if it’s in the living room , or just near the cage ? Do you have any you recommend, or dislike ?
Hi Tinabell!
We have 2 fairly inexpensive Honeywell’s. Hubby says the fan strength is all that’s important. I think @saroj12 said Rabbitair is much quieter.

I have two Rabbit Air Purifiers and like them. They are quiet even at high speed. I had Honeywells and they were noisy although I've read that the newer models might be a bit quieter. Two of the Honeywells I had failed in less than a year but I was able to get free replacements. However they have been replaced by the Rabbits.
The Honeywell HPA 200 and 300 usually get good reviews.
I too had a Rabbitair purifier. Top of the line brand. It has 6 filters in it and they will put in one expecially for birds. The filters are re newed once per year and come in a pack so easy to put in the unit all together. There is an outer filter that I cleaned with a vacumme cleaner once per week. They are expensive.
