I've realized how much they feed off of each other's energy but they seem really happy with me

The leg attacking thing is a mating behavior, budgies are not usually aggressive however you may want to keep an eye on them especially since one is a boy and one is a girl. keep daylight hours lower and avoid any dark spaces and they should be fine. If you can I would say get them.

I need to follow up on this part! So a female putting her leg on the back of a male and seeming to attck is breeding behaviour? This is good to watch for! Thank you!
