What do you do for a hatchday?

Isadora is going to be 16 years old on 4/23, and Tteok hits a year (ish - I don't have his exact date) 5/22.

What do y'all do for a hatchday treat? Cupcake (of bird bread mix)? Extra almonds/cashews/pistachios?

I used to go crazy and buy new toys or do a cake etc...

But then I would buy Walmart cakes for my kids

Sooo I haven't really been doing anything crazy lately except giving extra almonds and buying a bag of tropical Nutriberries (which he loves but only eats the safflower seeds )

I have made cornbread muffins with bird extras for hatchday. It’s easy if you start with a boxed cornbread mix.

I've always gotten 1 or 2 of their favorite toys and sometimes a perch to celebrate and since Zazu loved treats unlike Nala she'd get a special smaller but still whole cashew.

Oh I think I saw the other day a member on here used Egg white? On some seeds in the shape of a heart to keep it together. I wish I could remember what post that was hmm

I made Avicakes once. I baked them though, not froze. I used dates as a binder. You can also use other dried fruits like apricots.

I don't do anything special because I am chronologically challenged. I have trouble remembering my own age, my husband's age, the age of any of my pets. I also don't remember any of their hatchdays or birthdays or gotcha days.
