I was feeling lazy too, but still somehow ended with something that is probably better then when I do fresh chop :cautious:
I did rehydrated fruit n veg, cooked some of the grains and veggie mix I have, and then added some fresh carrot and zucchini.

If you're using the dried mixes they're probably nearly identical
The budgies I don't think appreciate it, I think they prefer the mostly fresh veggie chops. Q and Nautilus think it's fine though.

I usually cook up a small amount of the mix and add extras to it, I do not think I have really fed the premade dry mixes without extras thrown in.

I know, right?!! I don't get offended and try to cater to their pisttacine whims..

Still learning what's a hit or miss..
Not easy when that seems to change on a daily basis with my flock.
Yes I even have to keep a couple pellet brands/types on hand because Ripley really decides his favorite is suddenly gross. :shifty:

Miss Link seems to think her pellet bowl is a foraging toy.

She has no interest in eating pellets, but takes great delight in scooping up beak-fulls and scattering them on the floor .

She only actually eats them when they are soggy with chop juice. (She's a bit of a weird birdie... but she gets away with it because she's cute!)

This pic makes me want to grab a fork! It looks so healthy and appetizing...

My budgies won't approach any veggies on a skewer. They dive right in if it's on their dinner plate. Birds are fickle that way... and we mere humans are trained to adjust to their whims!
Well they ate most of it bits of carrot and chilli on floor so maybe they are getting use to plate

I followed @Pixiebeak idea to skewer height level near their favourite perch they can’t help but nibble a bit

Mine don’t really like fruit, guess that’s fine. They tend to like drier chop. Red endive, broccoli, zucchini, carrot (they always leave this), red peppers, wild rice, cooked chickpeas
Mine aren’t massive fruit eaters either only apple they go nuts for
