Max went on a food strike to protest us going on a 21 day cruise. He lost over 100 grams and we've been home 2 weeks now, but still struggling getting him to eat well. So hes getting multiple bowls with a wide array of food options. His first choice is Phoenix Foraging green chunks. Caitec bites arrived today, but they look, smell and feel so different, not sure if he will eat these as well.

Fingers crossed he starts eating better on his own. We've been supplementing with formula and EmerAid.

Well, today my amazon took the Brussel Sprouts from the left side of the cage, carried them to the right side, all the way across, and pulled them apart and put them into the water dish. Not just a bit accidentally, she sat directly above it dropping them in. Just a few flakes went to the bottom of the cage.

So in this forum topic, what my amazon is apparently NOT eating today is her Brussel Sprouts.

Is this a request for cabbage stew?

Or just designed to irritate the human involved?

(My money is on the latter)

Quite a few birds like to soak greens before consuming them - don't know why - just an observation over time.
Interesting, did not consider it, though I did leave it that way for an hour or so before dumping it, and she never went back.

She has adopted the idea of when she doesn't like what is in the veggie/seed bowl (the other is always pellets) she now goes over, empties it if not empty, and picks the bowl up and drops it on the floor of the cage.

It becomes increasingly clear who is in charge.

Chop for Whiskey today and he really liked it!
The chop contains: Romaine lettuce, Rosebuds (dried), Dill (dried), Sprinkle of Hempseed and 1 Classic Nutriberry Cockatiel size.
Also a fresh calendula flower on the side that he was really apprehensive about and therefore didn't try it (dried calendala flowers are usually not a problem though).

Whiskey's evening meal consisted of: 3 Pelletberries Sunny Orchard Cockatiel size he had to forage for (he was really eager to start foraging!):

Blanchie's evening meal consists of: Tropical Fruit Pellets (Lafeber) ground up with a bit of water and red palm oil ground up to a 'cookie dough like consistency'.
And as a treat (training reward for target training) today Blanchie also got a pine nut

A simple chop for Whiskey today but I've got no complaints about it so far:

Bok choy, dried oregano, dried basil, 1 Pelletberry Sunny Orchard cockatiel size (Lafeber) and 1 Nutriberry Classic cockatiel size (Lafeber)
