My caiques ate most everything I offered but they especially liked when I added starches like brown rice, pinto beans, chic peas and green peas.

Mine have gone off raw veg.

But they will gulp down all of my Fruit n veg smoothie and beg for more

Recipe: Kale, Broccoli, spinach, carrot ( 60% veg), then apple orange blueberries, Pineapple etc the rest

Nothing removed, nothing wasted

Place in blender with a little water

Press Button A

They will actually drink this all day and leave their water dish untouched

My hard rules are giving them each:
1 bird muffin (I use mini muffin tins)
1 orange vegetable (sweet potato, butternut squash, carrot)
I try to do half vegetable and half fruit.

I do six bowls at a time as my eckie gets this too. My current mix includes:
fennel
blueberries
zucchini
apple
persimmons
carrot
Peas
Banana

The bird muffin always, without question, goes first. I can guarantee Zoey will have an empty bowl at the end of the day. Kate will have left the fennel and zucchini. I try not to give additional grain as they get that from their pellets.

It should be enough for a few batches, but it halves very easily. I freeze them in plastic bags and take them out as needed.

2 Cups Millet Flour
1 Cup Flaxseed Meal
1/2 Cup Pea Protein Powder
1/2 Cup Pumpkin Seed
1/2 Cup Sunflower Seed
1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
3 tablespoons Chia Seeds
2 tablespoons Powdered Cinnamon
1 tablespoon Powdered Ginger
1 tablespoon Powdered Lemon Peel
2 eggs
2 cups unsweetened applesauce (other fruit puree works too)
1 cup shredded carrots (I've also used dried fruits or coconut)
350 Degrees until a toothpick comes out clean.
