Only saw a few Highland cows on the road on the way home so no pics. The ones on the path were brown. Funny I don't think I took many pics of wildlife... Except the ducks :roflmao:
Most of my snaps from up there were mountains and woods, I'll take a look...
Scotland must be a beautiful place to visit. I imagine it to be lush with greenery. I think there must be a beautiful coastline?

I think it swam over from Lake Carroll, across the street through the culvert drain pipe. likely to get AWAY from the big boys as he's make a nice little snake for one of them.

So, I live in Murrells Inlet, SC. The link to this video was taken in someone's back yard... obviously they live near a decent body of water but even the ponds around here should be assumed there's an alligator resident. The big boys go for bigger alligators too. Don't click on the link if you don't want to watch a 13-14 foot alligator swallow a 6 footer.

A couple of Steve's latest photos. There's a nice sculpture garden about 7-8 miles south of our home called Brookgreen Gardens. It's one of the places Steve goes to find birds to photograph. The hummingbirds will be leaving soon to head back to South America. Lucky shot to catch a monarch butterfly and a hummingbird together. The lighting was just right to catch the iridescence of the throat feathers on the male.

Edited to add a link to Brookgreen Gardens. Take a visual tour of this beautiful place!

Please share pics or interesting information you have of any wildlife that is normal for you to see where you live.

I really love the squirrel pics (because they are cute and I have never seen one in real life) and many of the other pics of birds and animals that don't live in my country but I just realised (after hearing about Civet cats being a problem for @SumitaSinh) that it may be quite educational and interesting to hear about and see what animals others here regularly see and deal with in their yards or local areas.
I don't have any images readily available on my laptop, but living in a tropical country, I see a lot of different animals!!
It's a veeerrryy long list, but these are the ones I recognize and know by name (mostly birds)
Yellow-crowned Amazon parrots, Red-Lored Amazon parrots, Orange-chinned parakeets, keel-billed toucans, saffron finches, house sparrows, great-tailed grackles, clay-colored thrushes, ruddy ground doves, crimson-backed tanagers, blue-gray tanagers, palm tanagers, fork-tailed flycatchers, a boatload of various yellow-bellied face-striped flycatchers which I can't differentiate, Greater Kiskadees (Which I CAN differentiate due to their calls) white ibises, a bunch of herons and storks, cormorants, and not to even get into the bug and monkey species!!

(though, a handful of these species are mostly only ever seen on the outskirts of the city where it's more forested, but also, Panama City is the only capital city in the world to have a national park within the city limits! It's real cool!)

Wow... I'd volunteer too! The name Gunther is maybe familiar? I remember a tiger show with Roy and ? They had a white tiger that attacked Roy. This would not be that same tiger though.

Ah you're thinking of Manticore who mauled Roy, of Siegfried & Roy fame, that was such a sad incident.

I feel badly for anyone in that situation. But a tiger truly doesn’t change its stripes & nature should be respected, that includes being honest about what it is.

Yes, it's been so many years since that happened. That was so hard on Siegfried and Roy. They were so famous and on top of the world with their tigers.

I was lucky enough to have a pair robins and a pair of mourning doves build nests on my back deck this year. The robins build their under the deck and the doves build their in a hanging flower basket. I actually didn't notice the doves nest until one I was watering it and a dove flew out! I felt so bad but thankfully she came back and laid another egg. I didn’t water the basket after that. I was able to watch the babies doves grow up. It fun to check on them and see how they were doing. Anyway here so pictures and a couple of rabbit and chipmunk ones I see occasionally too. :) 20260606_204604.jpg 20260605_184214(0).jpg 20260603_191722.jpg 20260603_190900.jpg 20260608_053636.jpg 20260615_202133.jpg 20260615_202259.jpg 20260811_193839.jpg 20260816_180516.jpg 20260831_113237.jpg 20260901_171911.jpg 20260901_174005.jpg 20260902_184241.jpg 20260903_091923.jpg 20260903_153004.jpg 20260905_135818.jpg 20260905_165744.jpg 20260906_152317.jpg 20260906_152832.jpg 20260906_152916.jpg 20260906_190417.jpg

The doves here build the flimsiest nests. It's surprising they can even have a successful family. They are opportunistic in any hanging baskets and last year they were trying to build a nest on top of a ladder that was leaning up against the back of the house. I would love to put some old mailboxes up in the backyard for some birds to use. We had wrens and yellow crested flycatchers build nests in the hole beneath the mailbox where the newspaper could be delivered. Though we don't subscribe to a newspaper. They would always fly out when we checked the mailbox.
