There is a large sulfur flock that assembles at the cemetery nearby where I live. And sometimes this fella stops by to stare at us and take a passion fruit from our vine. Luckily he has never told his friends about it yet!

It's that time of year again, the elk just started bugling. This guy was so noisy all night and this morning.
He knows he is so handsome and I think he is very used to posing for pictures! I just popped my head out the front door to take these.
the first pic he was bugling, then he saw the camera and started posing.

Last night I couldn't sleep (as usual). I was out on the back deck. It was about 3am. I thought I heard something in the bushes. Very slowly a red fox crept out into my backyard.

George had told me he'd seen a fox a few times when he was up during the night. I'm out during the night a lot more than him and I had never seen one (though we do hear them screaming a lot). I thought he was pulling my leg. But there it was. Eating wild bird seed.

It took me 20 minutes to very slowly pull my phone up into position without startling him (but I'm pretty sure he knew I was there). As soon as I did, Smokey and Blaze (the abandoned dogs) came barking across the yard. I only got a second on camera. Watch the upper left of the screen!

Are you serious? It cant crawl at all?
It's a wild turtle that lives in a drainage ditch in my backyard. Here in Florida, I get turtles, ducks, storks, snakes, opossums, armadillo's, rabbit's, hawks, buzzard's, etc, in my backyard. If I'm able to get a picture, I call it, "My...". The turtle returned to it's ditch before I was able to post it's picture. :ekkiem: A picture is supposed to tell a story. That was the story I saw.

A little Blue Banded bee. I'm not sure if I've ever seen one before and I definitely didn't know what he was till I looked it up!

This was in town. I see deer crossing the street often but not usually grazing by someone's house.

This was about 4 blocks from my house.

AussieBird - if you have some clay that you can place in a slightly cool place in the garden and poke pencil size holes (10/15cm deep) into you will attract more blue banded bees - they are a semi solitary native bee.
Daughter told us this trick to keep them around.
Love the flower it is showing interest in.

As much I would LOVE to attract more bees, especially natives, by the looks of it they sting and I have a family member who is anaphylactic to bees.
Thank you, it's one of my cactus, they have beautiful blooms, it's a shame they don't last very long.

I found this while looking for another photo.

One of the balconies on the top floor of the building I used to work in (before the peregrine falcons built a nest and drove the vultures away).

I have a vulture friend that I call "Culture Vulture". It's a long story. I think the vultures are magnificent.
