Chickens aren't as cowardly as people like to make them out to be. Mine mob and kill snakes, I've had hens give up their life to protect chicks from hawks and I have a rooster who has chased off a fox and two stray dogs on separate occasions.

I'd be proud to be called "chicken". They are bada$$ warriors.

Chickens have been symbols of courage and valor far longer than the modern ideas. The thought of chickens as cowardly or stupid emerge with the industrialisation of the birds. There is a need to diminish the individual in order to justify their commodification.

Chickens are highly compassionate, intelligent and wonderful birds. They deserve respect!

Ohhh @Ali - reading a lot of the comments give the direct impression that a person deliberately caught the snake to put in with the chickens for amusement and filming purposes and it sounds like it is done a fair bit :(

I hope this is not true but unfortunately it would not surprise me.

I didn't even think to look at the comments. That is so sad. How can some people be so cruel? :(
