Everybody, you're so kind. Thank you!!

This is Maximillian. He was raised from, basically an egg, by his former owner and bird mama.

He's 20 - she's had some changes to her family, and there are some conflicts - we have several birds already (Quakers, Senegal, Amazon, LSCC, etc.), plus my wife is an Avian / Exotics vet.

SO BOOM. He's here. And he's awesome. All our birds are rescues / owner relinquish / rehome, and such.

He's stand bound. He lives on his stand. He doesn't fly, he doesn't climb down. He apparently has been on his stand forever. We upgraded his stand and toys and such... so he's getting used to things.

Former Bird Mama took very good care of him, fed him very well, and he's a happy bird. Fully feathered, steps up, only the occasional goat-driving-a-convertible-going-off-a-cliff Macaw scream.

We dig him. And he's getting used to the cats and the dogs and the people (someone is always home...most of his life he was alone 10 - 12 hours a day) and the new the house and such.

Grateful.

I wonder if he'll stay stand bound? With the new environment, and all the activity he may start to venture off.
He's a beautiful bird and so very lucky he found a second home as loving as his first.
