Well Cheddar has been at work

Woke up earlier as it's raining and thunder got Da Boyz up and they got me up. Anyway I was getting their breakfast and as it's very dark due the rain clouds and I didn't turn on the light in the birdroom I was left wonder just what I found on the floor at first. Bear in mind the photo is a lot brighter than what I saw. But it didn't take long the realize it was a fender washer, you know those big washers that help hold a toy the the bars of the cage? Then I start thinking HOW did Cheddar get that thing off from inside his cage? I mean the wingnut in on the outside so how did he turn it? Well he didn't, he did in the toy and the parts where all over. The washer, screw and wingnut were on the floor and the remains of the toy were inside. He'd been a busy little Green Cheek!

Cheddar the handy man bird!

Cheddar and BB will go through one each in about a month. I had a balsa toy way back when I had a Parrotlet, Streak, and he would lay waste to one in a day. I mean nothing lefe but a leather string and pear link hanging for the cage and bits and pieces in the bottom. I'd gather up what I could and rebuild them all the time, it was hid favorite toy but could about $16.00 each and I could only get them in PA at a bird reuse meeting. So I had to learn to build them myself or go broke! I made them in mass!
