I had my new gate slam shut in a wind storm and several boards popped off. They used decent nails and a airgun nailer but they forgot the two boards that came off. I put them back on with some black deck screws I had in a big box I kept handy for issues like that. Several months later I found out why they don't use black nails or screws when the black lines started running down the wood from the screws. I switched to weather rated gray painted screws and problem was solved. Bought a big box of them too. After that I walked the fence with my gray screws and my Dewalt XRP Cordless drill and put screws in any boards that didn't have nails and there were a few more. Staples suck for fences but are cheaper and fast.Well we got some screws to reattach boards. They used wood staples. Apparently those are not rated to handle a Husky.
I lived with a boyfriend many years ago that had a large brindle Great Dane named Bogart. We watched the new people move in next door and when we saw the Saint Bernard they had we turned and looked at each other.. Uh oh... girlfriend for Bogart! There was a six foot high solid fence that separated our properties. Bogart dug under the fence. She had 11 puppies. Most looked like Bogart.I had a German Shepherd that ate through drywall and put a hole in a door in just half a day. Love caused it (new next door neighbor moved in with a girl dog).
He's beautiful! Thanks for giving him a home!Virgil pictures
