Moving in
Hi,
This one has me stumped. I already went to (a very reputable) vet who looked at samples on a microscope and said it is nothing but hyperkeratosis. But I'm still worried.
When we got our Galah, she had 2 white crusty sores on her foot. They since grew. At this point, the bigger sore stopped growing and looks a bit "dead", but the other looks like it's still in progress. Looks kind of like a wart with tentacle projections coming off the scale.
It has no impact on her general health (at least for now). Would really like to fix this one, but don't know how. I'm no medical expert, but I would guess it's some sort of a bird PV. There is very little material online that offers similar pictures to gauge against, except papillomavirus in Finches.
Anyone seen this before?
Cheers,
D
