Pictures We have a clear nostril at last!

It rained and rained yesterday. Ollie was in the aviary and enjoyed every part of it.

First there was leaf bathing in the wet strawberries...

Then leaf bathing in the bamboo...

And lastly Boing bathing...

Result: We have a nostril with a hole!!!! The right nostril (his left) as you look at him is usually blocked. It clears every so often with a shower. It has gradually increased in size from literally a pin prick sized hole over the 9 years he's been with me. Ollie came to me with Aspergillosis, sinusitus, and inflamed and scarred air sacs.

Don 't you just love how they really get into showering and bathing? Mine literally will hang from perch, roll on side, just gets right into it.

Luka will flapper minutes on end when we go showering, Coco just wants to be done with it.

A brilliant idea though!! Using plants. You know I thought of using those 3, 4,5 tier water fall fountains they sell at Menards for mine to bath in. Would be interesting to find out.

That's true, Michael! My budgie Boo used to have leaf baths in big bunches of wet parsley.
