I got married recently and found myself making over 40 paper cones for confetti while my lovely wife-to-be was getting her nails done.

Today I finally got round to punching holes in the card offcuts and threading them onto some paper rope. They look pretty cool and Leia is definitely interested!

Cool toy!!! Bet it's awesome for foraging:wideyed:
Someone is moving into one of my "neighborhood" towns with a quaker!!! The only other person who owns a bird, and I'm making a homemade swing for the little guy when I meet their bird, homemade bird toys are just so cool!
(*I need to meet him)

Thank you everyone!

Wedding involved suits, dresses, rings, cake...you know the drill. But how many of you have seen a novel toy made out of offcuts??

Congrats!
Those toys look very neat, I like the fact that they look sort of like flowers.

@Wardy this is the shape I ended up with. It's based on a sheet of A4. The grey bits were cut out to make cones. I was left with two white pieces per A4 sheet. I hole-punched each piece twice where the red crosses are, then folded them in half and threaded them onto a length of paper rope.

If you´re going to cut these out Wardy, then you could use those cones for foraging. Mix flour and water to make glue to glue the side, then fold in the wide end to make cone shaped foraging toys (stuff with whatever you got on hand) :geek:

Have just ordered 100 foot of packing paper for the base's of my cages so will give that a go. I will feel like a five year old making glue from flour and water though.
