Vasa parrots are members of the parrot family with a dark brown and grey plumage except for their bare heads where you can see pink-grey skin. Juveniles are more brown than grey and have a smaller bald area on their head. Female vasa parrots are larger than the males.
Vasa parrots are comparably quieter parrots and do a whine-like call. In the wild, Vasa Parrots are known to eat a variety of seeds, nuts, berries, and fruits.

Greater Vasa Parrots can live up to 50 years. Vasa Parrots like to examine their surroundings and love to try new things.

Charming, intelligent and fun, the Vasa Parrot makes a wonderful pet. Their lively behavior and impressive intelligence leave no one indifferent- not to mention their truly majestic appearance. Full of surprises and unusual traits, these pet parrots are arguably one of the loveliest breeds out there.

@Gernyak please do not post information from non-specialist sites. This kind of information is often written by people with no direct experience of the parrot or issue, and often contains inaccuracies which will mislead someone looking for information.
