Yesterday Tequila just seemed a little off when I uncovered the birds in the morning. My radar went up and I was watching him. He seemed tired, was fluffed and not really interested in his food. I put the ceramic heat lamp over his cage and he was staying near the lamp and sleeping. He is making some of his happy vocalizations but not his obnoxious Quaker scream which usually annoys me but would love to hear it now!
So this morning, still seems not quite right. He wasnt interested in his dry food but did eat some of his fresh food.
Just dont want to wait until it gets worse so he has an appointment for 2pm. The weather here is horrible today too, the temps are sopposed to drop like a rock throughout the day. :( Please keep us in your thoughts.

Thanks everyone. I always get panicked when something like this happens. He is out there now chatting back and forth with Carlos..it really has me baffled but I just know he is not himself so hopefully I caught it early. He is really good about taking meds so that is one good thing.

You have good instincts, Pat, so getting him checked out is wise.

Re: Taking Tequila To The Vet

I just wonder if I should be adding something to his diet. He seems like the child always catching the cold at school. :( Any advice on immune building supplements or food? Should I be adding probiotics weekly to his food?

Many prayers that whatever it is isn't serious and that you've got it early.
