Piper's still kind of lethargic today. Though she did come out to perch on my shoulder for a little while and snuggled up against my neck. She ate a bit more food, but I can see its not really appealing to her much. I've been trying to offer her soft things that I know she loves to stimulate her appetite including some pellets softened up and mixed with her absolute favorite apples. The first round of Metacam coming from me was easier then I thought. She took it without much fuss aside from trying to steal the syringe. She's got her strained wing folded up now, though she's still favoring it a bit. Lafayette seems upset still, when I went to get him out he tried to get into the bedroom where Piper is and started contact calling her. Needless to say he got a treat too and now he gets the rare treat of perching on top of the monitor.
Oh, Kristen ... I just saw this. I'm so, so sorry you and Piper had to go through all that. I'm glad he seems to be doing better. Keep it up little Piper!
