I've decided to post Dexter's xrays. I took him to Two vets, and both looked at these exact images. The first one couldn't find the inch and a half tube in his proventriculous (excuse spelling please, it's his "stomach" ) the second one saw it very clearly. I found it in an instant! Can you see it on each image? received_2372558086314037.jpeg received_2372579436311902.jpeg

I think I see it in the one. Did he swallow it? Is he going to be okay?

Sorry guys! I forgot to mention the full story is on the main health section page. If you can't find the tube, the "solution" is there. he swallowed it while handfeeding (It was soft plastic, the tubing used by hospitals for oxygen or fish tank airpumps) it looks huge here, but it was about the length of his beak. The tube was removed and he's completely Back to normal. The tube was removed, 3 days after the xrays, by the second vet (which is explained in the other post) and besides the missing feathers (he was plucked for the operation) and a few stiches, he seems to be good as new. He has his recheck on friday. The whole thing was a huge scare and I feel lucky to still have him! Here's the post: Dexter's big emergency - could have died! | Avian Avenue Parrot Forum

The second xray is much more difficult to spot. The fact that the tube looks just
Iike his bones is no help. Look to the right of his lower spine.

Oh yeah, it seems pretty clear in the 1st image. How did they vet miss it?

So glad this story had a good ending.
