Hi yesterday when I got home from work I noticed one of my cockatiels flight feathers was all twisted around the wrong way. I thought by morning she would have preened it to where it would by laying the right way but it's still the same this morning. Does anyone know what this is and if I should be concerned? She is at the tail end of her molt but the feather doesn't seem loose?
She doesn't seem in pain but it does seem to bother her she's kind of holding her wing different but she's still flying around. 20260911_091109.jpg 20260911_091116.jpg

Sometimes feathers can twist naturally or as the bird is moving around. Typically at the end of a molt is when it'll happen.

You can see if she'll let you look at it! Generally twisted feathers aren't concerning unless it's causing pain! Where in that situation you just flip it back around.
If it's broken and bleeding, you'll need to put quickstop on it or pull it depending on the amount of bleeding.

Though if she isn't bleeding and isn't in pain, I wouldn't be too concerned! It'll likely fall out or flip back around on its own in a few days!

Okay thank you! She's very strong and squirmy so me getting a look is near impossible I tried earlier this morning but she is truly an escape artist and wiggled right away from me haha
