First one on the island in 10 years - it's been hanging around since December.Ooh what a fantastic shot! I've always wanted to see a Trumpeter Swan in real life.
You don't have any swans by you?I had no idea swans were so big! At first I thought those were babies, but then I realized those must be the coots.
Maybe the costs are just really small Trumpeters are good size birds. Bigger than a Canadian goose if that's helpful. I've been lucky enough to hand fed a few of them. They are really gorgeous and don't really appreciate how they are until you see the out of the water and walking.I had no idea swans were so big! I've never come across them around me here in Florida. But I would love to see them! You don't have any swans by you?
Mute swans are super common by me - would have thought they were everywhere in the US.
