Here's a photo of Trinket's beak cuticle. I know it's kinda a blurry but can you please tell me if it looks normal?

It looks torn to me and it's not getting any better.

He rubs it on the sandy perch, but no more than the other side.

Is this from molting? He is molting some.

it is hard to tell from the photo but as far as I can see I don't see it looking not normal.

Maybe him rubbing his beak on the sandy perch caused this?

Get rid of that sandy perch and any other too rough surface he can rub his face on and watch him carefully over the next few days to see if it heals. If it doesn't, take him to the vet because he could have an infection there and that's the reason why he is rubbing it instead of the rubbing having caused it.

The sandy perches are not good. I Agree with Beatriz. They are just so rough for them.

Personally I would take him to the vets before it gets worse or infected. When ever I think there is a serious problem they go straight to the vets. Im paranoid. A couple of times my vet rolled his eyes and said, “Go Home Courtney, no charge.” Lol. I have an animal emergency account set up for all my animals. It makes me feel better.

Well today it looked better again. I was giving him neopsoring kisses but I stopped because it was looking better and I didn't want to over do it, but I started again the day before yesterday and today it looked almost normal.

He's eating, pooing, preening, playing and yelling like normal.

Thank you all for your good advice.
