Trick then treat

When I first got my caique I was really excited and going to teach him all these neat tricks. My enthusiasm waned when I had trouble figuring out what I would use for a reward. I think I want to have a go a trick training him and see if I can release so of that bottled-up energy that way but I'm still stuck on what to use as a treat-a reward-for him.

So, I'd like to knw, what do you use-food, attention, or other- to train your bird?
